Anna van der Breggen won silver today at the women's Worlds road race in Yorkshire.The worldchampion rode a strong race. Van der Breggen controlled the race from the moment Annemiek van Vleuten attacked on the Lofthouse climb. After an impressive solo of over 100km Van Vleuten finsihed the strong teamperformance by the Dutch team becoming the new worldchampion. Van der Breggen was involved in a fight with Dygert and Spratt for second place. She managed to bring back Dygert and keep Amanda Spratt and the American behind her. With this second place Van der Breggen completed the Dutch party on the podium of the Worlds. Besides Van der Breggen the other Boels-Dolmans riders also rode strong races for their countries. Christine Majerus finished as eleventh,Amalie Dideriksen as 13th, Amy Pieters as 19th, Chantal Blaak as 43rd, Karol-Ann Canuel as 46th and Katie Hall as 71st.
