Amy Pieters finished second today only centimeters behind Lisa Klein. A strong performance by the team wasnt rewarded with a win by Pieters. The race kept locked for a long time. In the fourth lap the race was finally broken open by Amalie Dideriksen who escaped with 25 km to go. She was accompanied by Hannah Barnes. The two riders got a maximum lead of 30 seconds. On the final climb of the Holterberg the two were caught by the group of favourits. In the final 10 kilometers a group of four with Amy Pieters, Lisa Klein, Lizzie Deignan and Amanda Spratt. They stayed away till the final meters were Pieters came in the lead but was beaten in the final meters by Lisa Klein. Amalie Dideriksen won the price of the most combatitive rider. In the GC Amy Pieters is third now only 6 seconds behind the new leader in the race.
